Employee Spotlight Sherman Davison

At KBD Group, we love to shine a spotlight on our employees who have made a strong impact in our business. In this spotlight we’d like to recognize Sherman Davison a General Superintendent at KBD Group. Sherman has been with KBD Group for over 36 years, from Carpenter to General Superintendent he has held various positions within the company. Sherman has a deep understanding of the manufacturing and warehouse construction process, and is able to provide solid guidance and direction to his team. He is an influential leader, and is always looking for ways to improve the efficiency of the construction process. Sherman is a valuable member of our team and we are proud to have him as part of our KBD Group family. Sherman has recently been promoted to Vice President / Field Operations Leader.

Question: What advice would you give new hires?

I would advise new hires to take advantage of the training opportunities that the company offers. There is a lot of support from all departments, and the company is willing to let you grow. No is not an answer as long as you are doing things in the realm of our business. I would also advise new hires to get to know people in different departments. It is a great company to work for, and there are really good people in all levels of the company. Knowing people in different departments will help you in your career growth. Finally, I would advise new hires to have a positive attitude. This company is full of opportunity, and a positive attitude will help you take advantage of those opportunities. Question: What do you like to do outside of work?

One of the things I enjoy most in life is spending time with my family, especially my grandkids. I’m also a big fan of Alabama football (Roll Tide!) and the Pittsburgh Steelers. I enjoy grilling out, playing golf, and a good cigar every now and then.
