Interview with PeteR

Question: Why did you choose your profession?

I chose to be an architect because it is one of the few professions (in my opinion), that often requires both technical skills and artistic interpretation. In other words, engineers follow engineering and artists produce artistic pieces and an architect sometimes needs to balance and live in both worlds, simultaneously.

Question: What do you like most about KBD Group?
The quality of the people I work with, the teamwork atmosphere, and the sense of family.
Question: What is your proudest moment at KBD Group?
My proudest moment was the day I was hired, but recently, it may be in securing my California architectural license (as requested), so that I may further assist KBD Group, if and when needed.
Question:What do you find the most challenging at KBD Group?
The biggest challenge for me is probably typical to most Project Managers: Delivering a project on schedule that is profitable and up to client satisfaction. If one is lucky enough to achieve all three, then I believe it was a successful project.
Question: How has KBD helped you in your career development?
KBD has always supported me in my career development, whether it be challenging me to manage larger projects, always encouraging continued education, or by helping me improve my presentation and software skills.
Question: What do you do when you’re not at work?  Share a fun fact about yourself.
I like exercising (when I can), salsa dancing with my wife, spending quality time with my 3-year-old daughter, gardening, and home improvement.
Question: What advice would you give to new hires?
Never feel intimated to ask a lot of questions and don’t be scared to make mistakes, as that is the only way to truly learn (in my opinion). This is the advice that I would give myself if I was 22 years old again. Thank you.
