KBD Group Superintendent’s Meeting

On May 2, 2017, Kajima Building & Design Group (KBD Group) kicked off its First Annual Superintendent's Meeting. The Superintendents met at the Wyndham Hotel in Buckhead-Atlanta, Georgia, to discuss KBD Goals and to share best practices. Agenda items included discussions on Safety, Quality Assurance, Technology, Planning, and more. The conference lasted for two days, closing with a symposium, allowing the Superintendents to share their opinions and points of view, which ultimately supported the KBD Group brand. Twenty-five Superintendents from across the United States attended the meeting, including the Superintendent from Georgia.

Superintendent’s Passion for Safety

During the meeting, the Superintendent’s passionately expressed their safety practices, sharing their everyday job experiences. For anyone to work on a jobsite, PPE Safety Equipment is required, along with various safety procedures that assure everyone returns home safely. Many of the Superintendents expressed ideas they have learned from each other to help improve their own safety procedures. The feeling of pride and support that all of the Superintendents have for their work and co-workers is unmatched in many organizations.

The Importance of Superintendents

KBD Group understands the importance of having a Superintendent on a job site. This is the first step towards building a successful project. Many customers will contest that their project was successful because of the Superintendent on the job site, and many times, will request the same Superintendent for the next project.

KBD Pride

At KBD Group, our Superintendents demonstrate a great deal of pride that is manifested in the KBD mantra of getting the job done safely and successfully. With safety as their number one priority, Superintendents skillfully supervise every aspect of the construction project while reporting the progress to the Owner. KBD Pride is fueled by the passion to be working for a great company.

Specifically, at KBD we have:

  • Pride in our Safety Procedures
  • Pride in our Work Ethics
  • Pride in our Team Collaboration and Support

At KBD Group, we are not a collection of employees: We are family. The sense of pleasure and satisfaction, felt by each KBD team member as each project is completed, cultivates the atmosphere of pride in working for a great company and team.
