Charlie Rose
He joined Kajima Building & Design Group in 2014 as an Assistant Superintendent. In January 2019, he was promoted to Project Superintendent. We would like to congratulate Charlie on his continued success at KBD Group!
Interview with CHARLIE:
Question: What does a typical workday look like?
My typical day as a Superintendent is managing manpower on the job, making sure that all safety is up to par and all the subcontractors are adhering to our safety policies.
I also manage our JSA’s by signing off on those every morning and managing the overall quality management of the job.
Question: What advice do you have for someone looking to have a career in your role?
Some advice I would give someone who wanted to become a Superintendent would be that it’s probably one of the most rewarding careers out there.
Another piece of advice I would give someone who wanted to become a Superintendent is that it comes with many challenges everyday.
Question: What is the biggest obstacle you deal with in your position?
The biggest challenge is mother nature and weather hence having to think outside the box. That’s another thing that I really look forward to every day because there’s one way to build things, but then there’s another and that’s part of our job is to find that.
