KBD Group provided General Contracting Services for Crown Equipment Corporation located in Joliet, IL. The project included three (3) phases of complete demolition and updated re-construction of approximately 15,000 square feet of occupied corporate office space. Office improvements included a new aluminum and glass entrance; a new employee break room; modified office, conference and training rooms; and several borrowed lite frames throughout. Additional mechanical, electrical, plumbing and fire protection was required, including below slab walker duct enhancements and new heating and cooling equipment. Office spaces were enhanced with new carpet, ceramic tile, rubber flooring and new paint throughout. Extensive planning, coordination and implementation was required to provide construction services in a fully occupied operational corporate office space.
