KBD Group provided General Contracting services for a 565,000 SF refrigerated warehouse and distribution center for Kroger. The project included a 285,000 SF perishable/produce storage cooler featuring multiple rooms operating at different temperatures. There is also a freezer that operates at -15°F. The cooler and freezer uses an ammonia based cooling system. The project also included a 250,000 SF dry grocery storage, and a 30,000 SF office. KBD Group also built a vehicle maintenance facility with fueling operations.
