New Director of Kajima Australia

Shin Urano, former Kajima Building & Design Group (KBD Group) President and Kajima Building and Design Inc. President, has been appointed to the position of Representative Director of Kajima Australia. The news came in January, and Mr. Urano has been relocated to Sydney, Australia, to support Kajima Australia, and Kajima Construction Australia Pty Ltd. Jeff Stiner has been appointed President of Kajima Building and Design, Inc., which holds KBD Group, Inc. and Kajima Associates, Inc.

 Mr. Urano has been stationed in the US for the past 30 years, and over the course of his career has made countless contributions to strengthen and improve Kajima’s operations. His first assignment started in 1986, as a Construction Project Manager on the design-build JVC (Japan Victor Corporation) assembly and distribution facility project in Tuscaloosa, Alabama.   From 2007 through 2017, Mr. Urano was President of KBD Group. During his leadership, KBD Group has completed over 800 projects, totaling over $2 Billion in capital investment.   

We want to congratulate Shin Urano on his new role as director of Kajima Australia. We sincerely appreciate the level of service Mr. Urano has devoted to Kajima, USA, and we send best wishes as he begins the next chapter of his career.
