Carter Wood

Carter Wood is the Director of Global Incentives, Innovation and Location Services at EY Singapore and serves as the Asia Pacific US Inbound Leader for Location Investment Services. With 16 years of experience, he specializes in site selection and incentives for Global 2000 and private businesses, including location analysis, real estate due diligence, and economic impact modeling. Carter’s expertise spans various industries, such as automotive, advanced manufacturing, semiconductor manufacturing, and technology.

Before joining EY, Carter worked in the government sector as a Senior Project Manager for the Georgia Department of Economic Development, focusing on industrial recruitment in sectors like automotive, aerospace, and chemical processing. He also has experience as EY’s Sustainability Incentives Leader for the Southeast U.S. Carter holds a Bachelor of Science in Economics from the University of Georgia and is a member of the Site Selection Guild.

Andrew Neumann

Andrew Neumann currently serves as Vice President of Marketing & Sales for Kajima Building and Design Group. With more than 12 years of experience and over $7 billion in located and constructed projects across the U.S., China, Thailand, and the Czech Republic, Andrew brings significant international and domestic expertise in the design and construction of new or expanding manufacturing projects.

He has an impressive track record spanning nearly 25 years, including his role as General Manager at Kajima Corporation (China) in Shanghai, China. Before joining Kajima, Andrew worked for the State of Georgia’s Department of Economic Development and Coca Cola, making him a market and industry leader in helping multinational corporations with location and construction decisions.

Kiyoaki Kojima

Kiyo is a partner in SGR’s Corporate and International Transactions Practices and leads the Japan Services Team. He specializes in advising clients on a wide range of matters, including corporate formation, governance, mergers and acquisitions, secured transactions, joint ventures, and various commercial agreements such as leasing, licensing, and distribution.

Kiyo has significant experience working with international companies entering or operating in the U.S., assisting with incentives, site selection, real estate acquisitions, and governance issues. He also provides counsel in labor and employment law, helping clients with employment agreements, company policies, and handling discrimination and harassment claims, ensuring compliance and effective risk management for smooth U.S. operations.

Melvin Teng

Melvin is part of EY Singapore’s Business Incentives Advisory team, where he assists both local and international clients with incentive planning and negotiations, focusing on discretionary and R&D tax incentives. With over 10 years of experience, Melvin also contributes to EY’s Global Incentives, Innovation, and Location Services team, specializing in real estate and master development evaluations across Southeast Asia and Asia, including China and India.

Before joining EY, Melvin held senior roles at Keppel Urban Solutions, leading business development efforts in India, Singapore, and the Philippines. He spearheaded strategic partnerships for the development of smart city solutions and evaluated business opportunities across various sectors. Prior to this, he was the head of strategy at Sembcorp Urban Development, where he led land acquisition and smart industrial park development initiatives in Southeast Asia, Saudi Arabia, and China. Melvin began his career at the Singapore Economic Development Board, focusing on corporate planning and strategic investment promotion. He holds a Bachelor of Engineering (First Class Honours) in Electrical & Electronic Engineering from Imperial College London.

Joseph Christofanelli

Joseph Christofanelli is the Director of the Asia Pacific Tax Centre at Global Incentives, Innovation & Location Services. With over 35 years of experience, he has secured over $8 billion in global incentives, supporting business expansion, relocation, R&D, and sustainability. He has managed incentive projects across 30 US states and six continents, serving Global 50 and Global 500 clients in industries such as automotive, manufacturing, logistics, and retail.

In addition to his current role, Joseph has held leadership positions in various chambers of commerce, including serving as Chairman of the Chicago Southland Chamber of Commerce. He regularly speaks at international conferences, sharing his expertise in global incentives and site selection. Joseph holds a Master of Public Administration from Governor State University and a Bachelor of Science in Political Science from Illinois State University.

Hajime Yokoyama

Hajime has been serving as the Vice President of Marketing at Kajima International Inc. since April 2021, based in Atlanta, Georgia.  With over 25 years of experience in the construction and real estate industry, he has held key marketing roles across various Kajima subsidiaries, including Senior Marketing Manager at Kajima Building & Design Group in the U.S. and Marketing Manager at Chung-Lu Construction in Taiwan. And General Manager at Kajima Corporation (China) in Shanghai, China.  Hajime has been instrumental in generating and developing construction deals, focusing on Japanese, Taiwanese, and international markets. 

Prior to his current role, his earlier career includes leading sales and marketing efforts in Japan, Southeast Asia, Taiwan, and China focusing various manufacturing projects for Kajima Corporation’s Business Promotion Division and Overseas Operational Division. His extensive experience has made him a key figure in expanding Kajima’s global footprint.  Hajime received his BA in law from Keio University in Tokyo, Japan and earned his MBA from Kelley School of Business, Indiana University.
