The FedEx GSOH Project is the Mid-Atlantic Hub campus on 175 acres. The bulk package sorting and handling facility is located at the Piedmont International Airport, Greensboro, North Carolina where aircraft and trucks deliver packages to the facility for sorting and delivery. The project scope includes the construction of a major package sorting hub facility including site utilities and paving (226,000 SY of vehicular pavement; 136,000 SY of airside pavement), Sort & Truck Building (495,000 SF), Administration Building (58,000 SF), Support Building (50,000 SF), and five other minor buildings between 1,400 SF to 4,000 SF. Mechanical systems are a combination of gas-fired radiant heating in the sort systems spaces with packaged air conditioning/heating for office and support areas. The building contains the sort systems material handling equipment and conveyors.
