The change order tool is a collection of all change orders issued throughout the lifecycle of the project. They are grouped under two separate sub tabs – Prime Contract and Commitments. This tool has limited functionality and is really only useful as a way to view changes in one place.

The only setting that can be changed is the option to show Line Items on Change Order PDFs. This option will include additional cost details in the exported PDF of Prime Contract Change Orders (PCCO).

The results can be seen in the examples below. The left image includes additional cost details while the right image does not.

Navigate to the project Change Orders tool.

By default, the landing page is Prime Contract, as indicated by the orange underline; the number in the parentheses indicates the number of change orders issued.

Provided in this view are all change orders issued to the Prime Contract including a number of details such as Description, Status, Date Issued and Amount.

To view a particular change order click View located to the left of the desired change order.

This action will open the change order no differently than if navigating to the Prime Contract tool and clicking through to Change Orders. In fact, after clicking View, when the new screen appears, this is exactly the screen that opens. This can be seen in the breadcrumb trail located at the top of that page. See the example below.

FILTERING

In the menu located on the right side of the screen, both here and in Procore, there are two options to filter the list of change orders. The one seen here is interactive, give it a try!

Use the Status filter to only show those changes if a particular status. Choose from Approved, Draft, Pending, etc.
To clear this filter, select “All” from this dropdown.

Use the Executed filter to only show those changes that have been marked as Executed or not. Choose from Yes, No or All.

To clear this filter, select “All” from the dropdown.

Navigate to the project Change Orders tool.

Click the sub-tab labeled Commitments. Once the page loads, Commitments is underlined in orange; the number in the parentheses indicates the number of change orders issued. Provided in this view are all change orders issued to all commitments on the project, both Subcontracts and Purchase Orders, including a number of details such as Description, Status, Date Issued and Amount.
