PROJECT OVERVIEW

KBD Group provided Design-Build services for this 544,500 SF Greenfield facility that will produce aluminum can lids for Ball Corporation. Project scope includes site work including process equipment installation, excavation, paving,  and site utilities along with concrete tilt up walls around the manufacturing and warehouse areas with office spaces. Our Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) engineering team supported process equipment installation.

Speculative Warehouse

PROJECT OVERVIEW
KBD provided general contracting services for a 283,820 SF speculative distribution facility. This project was located on a 16.1-acre site, previously occupied by a golf driving range and clubhouse, which KBD demolished prior to the start of construction. The building features 36’ clear height, typical bay size of 55’ x 56’ (56’ x 60’ bay in the staging area), 49 dock positions, 162 car parking (with electrical car charging stations), 2 drive in doors, ESFR fire protection, gas fired air rotation unit heaters, 1600 Amp electrical service, LED high bay and site lighting, and a 7” thick floor slab. The building skin includes insulated precast concrete wall panels (R14), induction welded “Rhinobond” TPO roof (R16), aluminum windows with insulated glass. Also, a 4200 SF office was constructed to allow the facility to be available for immediate occupancy.

WAREHOUSE | DISTRIBUTION

KBD Group provided general contracting services for this 1.04 Million SF speculative distribution facility. The facility will be used as a massive COVID-19 vaccine distribution center in Shepherdsville, KY. The building features a 40’ clear height, typical bay size of 50’ x 56’ (56’ x 60’ bay in the staging area), 100 dock positions, 617 car parking (with electrical car charging station), 234 Trailer Parking, 4 drive in doors, ESFR fire protection, gas fired air rotation unit heaters in conjunction 80/20 pressurization heating units, (2) 3000 AMP electrical services, LED high bay and site lighting, and a 7” thick Ductilcrete floor slab. The building skin included poured on site tilt wall panels with Thermax insulation on the inside surface (R9.8), induction welded “Rhinobond” TPO roof (R20), aluminum windows with insulated glass.

KBD Group is providing general contracting services for a 630,368 SF speculative distribution facility. This project is located on a 54.3-acre site with 60 feet of elevation changes. The building will feature 40’ clear height, typical bay size of 50’ x 56’ (56’ x 60’ bay in the staging area), 62 dock positions, 432 car parking (with electrical car charging station), 118 Trailer parking spots, 2 drive in doors, ESFR fire protection system supported by a 160,000 gallon water storage tank and 2500 GPM diesel fire pump, gas fired air rotation unit heaters in conjunction with 80/20 pressurization make up air units, (2) 3000Amp electrical services, LED high bay and site lighting, and a “Heidebed” Ductilcrete floor slab system that consisted of 3” topping over a 4” base slab. The building skin includes tilt up concrete wall panels with Thermax insulation (R9.8), induction welded “Rhinobond” TPO roof (R20), aluminum windows with insulated glass.
